Instrumental Ensembles
A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief - Violin and Piano
This is at least the third arrangement I have made of this hymn and some elements are borrowed from past versions. It was popular in Joseph’s day and continues to be so: dramatic, sweet, comforting.
Abide with Me; 'Tis Eventide - Violin Duet
Based on the Hymn Fantasy No.3 for piano solo, this duet was written for two quite accomplished players.
Easter Hymn (Christ the Lord is Risen Today) - Piano and Organ Duet
I have always been inspired by Luke’s evocative account of the resurrection of Jesus. This adaptation of my choir arrangement highlights the drama of this testimony.
In The House of the Lord - Harp and Organ Duet
This is an adaptation of the 2nd movement of my Concerto for Celtic Harp and Strings, which has been very well received over the years.
I Know That My Redeemer Lives
These arrangements were adapted from the vocal ensembles and are suitable for early intermediate players. Contact me if you need an arrangement for other groupings.
I'll Go Where You Want Me To Go - Piano and Organ Duet
With its lovely lilting tune and inspiring lyric, this duet is perfect for worship services, especially missionary farewells. The tune of this famous hymn is named “Consecration” – I’ll go where you want me to go, do what you want me to do, say what you want me to say: I am your servant.
The Lord Is My Shepherd - Piano and Organ Duet
This duet arrangement of this beloved hymn is of moderate difficulty. The second half recalls the gorgeous piano texture at the end of second movement of Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G.
More Holiness Give Me - Violin/Cello/Piano
Adapted from my arrangement for choir, this arrangement would work for any soprano/baritone combination (oboe and bassoon, for example). Your purchase includes full score and separate instrumental parts. Let me know if there is a different key or transposition you would like.
Nearer, My God, To Thee - Violin Duet
This is a minor setting of Lowell Mason’s famous hymn, evocative, expressive and yet worshipful. The violins are treated as equals in this piece, appropriate for intermediate players. A beautiful performance by the sisters who commissioned this arrangement can be found here.
